Day 29: The Salad Saga and the Countdown Commences,

Day twenty-nine of furlough. I woke up at 0600, greeted once again by the faithful White Chocolate Mocha, my morning compass through government limbo. Remington received a Pup Cup, maybe as a bribe, maybe as an act of love. Either way, she took it as both.

Last night’s birthday dinner for Amy went mostly according to plan, until it didn’t. She decided to take a chance on salad, a food group her digestive system has long declared war on. About halfway through dinner, she confidently said, “See? I’m fine.” By bedtime, she remembered exactly why not. Still, the evening was a success overall, and the mission concluded with smiles, laughter, and maybe one too many bites of “I’ll be fine.”

Today’s mission is prep, Amy’s business trip on Monday means packing, planning, and mentally bracing for her absence. When she leaves, the Living Room Republic temporarily enters bachelor governance, a fragile system powered mostly by caffeine, leftovers, and misplaced optimism.

As for me, Monday brings my own grand adventure, heading into the office to sign paperwork confirming that I still want the job I’m not currently allowed to do. Nothing screams “productive governance” like formal documentation of irony.

Meanwhile, the cruise countdown is officially underway, a little more than a month to go. The thought of sea breeze, sunlight, and a complete lack of meetings feels like salvation in nautical form.

Morale check: steady. Coffee hot, pup content, salad lessons reinforced, bureaucracy waiting in the wings. The Living Room Republic remains afloat, one Pup Cup, one suitcase, and one cruise daydream at a time.

@Serena_Bast One way to help this is to put your name and address city in the blocked words on twitch or in your bot. So if someone was to say it *** comes up it helps quite a bit

📻 Broadcast 30 is on the air.

Thirty broadcasts in, the mission remains the same: great music, a steady signal, and a station built for listeners who enjoy the journey as much as the destination

The planner. I research the operator, safety, currents, visibility, lodging, logistics, and trip fit before I book. I’m not chasing the most extreme dive. I want safe diving, clear water, good experiences, good food, and family time after.

Just going to pile on to what RAH said here. If you build your community around a game, and you stop playing that game or that game stops being a game, then what? People may come and go for the game, but they stay because of what YOU bring to the table. Be the reason they stay

ReAnimateHer @ReAnimateHer_

@BigBryTV Build your community around you and it won't matter. It may take a bit longer to where you want to be as a creator however you'll have a community follow you anywhere and watch whatever game you play

LMAO. I call complete bullshit on this one @lyft @AskLyft

I did that very thing and not only did the driver who confirmed the ride not show up, but you assigned another driver that didn't show up and I ended up valeting my vehicle and it cost me $300 to do so.

Under the Current: Cozumel 2026 Dive Montage | Bajo La Marea

A Cozumel dive montage set to my newest original song. Equal parts dive memory, music project, and love letter to being underwater.

@bryonhmusic @DeepBlueCozumel Sounds like a great Cozumel dive week. For anyone planning similar: currents can make sites feel very different day to day, so a crew with solid briefings and flexible site choices is a big deal.
