Day 36: The Return Countdown

Day thirty-six of furlough. Another morning, another Starbucks Venti White Chocolate Mocha, the routine that’s become both habit and therapy. Remi and I made our now-daily pilgrimage to Starbucks, her tail wagging like she’s personally responsible for morale operations. The baristas know us by now; they hand me the cup with a smile that says, “Still hanging in there?”

It’s strange how quickly a routine can settle into something sacred. The drive-through line, the smell of roasted beans, Remi leaning halfway across my lap to inspect the window. We come home, coffee in hand, and she gets her treat for a job well done, as if emotional support is a line item she’s clocking hours for.

Today feels different, though. The quiet has an expiration date. Amy should be home later tonight, and the whole house seems to know it. The energy’s lighter. Even Mittens has ventured out of his office-chair kingdom, and Tabby’s been circling the living room like she’s inspecting for her imminent return.

I spent most of the day tinkering with D&D overlays agai, small adjustments that probably only I’ll notice. The December music launch prep is still chugging along, too. Momentum’s everything during furlough, and I’m holding onto it like an anchor.

Dinner will be simple, something easy, something warm, something to pass the time until headlights pull into the driveway. The hardest part of her trips is always the waiting, but the best part is knowing that waiting’s almost over.

Morale check: cautiously elevated. The Living Room Republic stands ready for re-entry operations, mocha-fueled, Remi on standby, and the long-awaited return of normal just hours away.

Another morning. Another carefully curated rotation. Great music, smooth transitions, and a station built for listeners who still appreciate the art of radio.

@Serena_Bast One way to help this is to put your name and address city in the blocked words on twitch or in your bot. So if someone was to say it *** comes up it helps quite a bit

📻 Broadcast 30 is on the air.

Thirty broadcasts in, the mission remains the same: great music, a steady signal, and a station built for listeners who enjoy the journey as much as the destination

The planner. I research the operator, safety, currents, visibility, lodging, logistics, and trip fit before I book. I’m not chasing the most extreme dive. I want safe diving, clear water, good experiences, good food, and family time after.

Just going to pile on to what RAH said here. If you build your community around a game, and you stop playing that game or that game stops being a game, then what? People may come and go for the game, but they stay because of what YOU bring to the table. Be the reason they stay

ReAnimateHer @ReAnimateHer_

@BigBryTV Build your community around you and it won't matter. It may take a bit longer to where you want to be as a creator however you'll have a community follow you anywhere and watch whatever game you play

LMAO. I call complete bullshit on this one @lyft @AskLyft

I did that very thing and not only did the driver who confirmed the ride not show up, but you assigned another driver that didn't show up and I ended up valeting my vehicle and it cost me $300 to do so.

Under the Current: Cozumel 2026 Dive Montage | Bajo La Marea

A Cozumel dive montage set to my newest original song. Equal parts dive memory, music project, and love letter to being underwater.

@bryonhmusic @DeepBlueCozumel Sounds like a great Cozumel dive week. For anyone planning similar: currents can make sites feel very different day to day, so a crew with solid briefings and flexible site choices is a big deal.
